Meeting 2

Our second week we will take a close look at the full context of why we are doing this program. Where are we now, both as individuals and society, in regards to food and wellness? Where do we want to be - and how can we get there? We will have plenty of time for Q&A. Feel free to bring questions from last week’s material and your experiences in the first week of the cleanse.

This week we will cover:

  • The definition of Chronic disease

  • Nutrition definition of terms

  • Nutrition vs Digestion

  • Holobiome and the role it plays

  • How we have gotten to this state of disease in our culture

  • Factors beyond food

  • Mapping a pathway to wellness

  • Behavioral change tactics

  • Brainstorm on how to modify favorite meals or dishes to be within the January Cleanse parameters

  • Setting realistic goals and expectations - How do we measure success this week?

This week’s practice:

Each day write a minimum of 3 things you want for yourself, in regards to health or wellness. Set a regular time, like at the end of the night, just before or as you get into bed, if that creates consistency in the practice. There is no want too small nor too large. No limits!
