Meeting 10

Our Tenth week we will have a guest speaker! Focus will be on utilizing herbs and fermenting foods.

We will have plenty of time for Q&A. And as always, feel free to continue to bring any questions, reflections or feedback you would like to share from past Sessions.




This week we will cover:

  • What is fermentation?

  • What are the different types of fermentation and which foods fall into each?

  • Some basics about DIY fermentation at home

  • What are the ‘Need to Know’ when exploring herbs?

  • A little about Foraging and ‘Weeds’

  • Medicinal Herbs for specific uses, how to decide what’s right for you.

  • Specific herbs for digestion, metabolism, hormonal regulation, stress and sleep

  • Want to make your own Herbal Products? Here are a few ideas

  • Using “Medicinal” Herbs in daily diet/cooking

  • Resources to learn more about Fermenting and Herb utilization

This week’s practice:

Let’s get adventurous with Food! This week try a new food that you’ve never eaten. If you are feeling really wild try a few, or even one every day. Choose a dish or food preparation that you would like to learn and try to follow instructions and make (or experiment!).
